He was an official Ibtihal reciter of Egypt’s Quran Radio, according to Al-Misri Al-Yawm daily.
Ibtihal, which means prayer and supplication in Arabic, is a special style of recitation of supplications.
It is popular in many Arab countries, especially Egypt, with many qaris of Quran also known for their Ibtihal recitations.
